That's more like it!

I didn't really have anything new to report, but I was just tired of the snowy picture at the top of our blog! The sun has returned at least for a few days and we put in some time sitting on the front porch. The puppies enjoyed a little time laying in the sun in our front yard while we listened to some baseball. We have tried several different products to watch or listen to our Cardinals during the summer, since we are out-of-marke fans. We've tried MLB extra innings, but that didn't help us when we were on th road and it chained us to the house when we WERE home. We tried MLB.com, we enjoyed it the first season, even though we did have to have internet access, the second season we tried it, they made some "improvements" that basically made it un-usable for Mac users (of course they didn't have any trouble taking our money). So this year we bought the XM radio. So far, we think this is the best thing we've tried yet. We can listen to the game in our house, in our car and once we hit the road, we can listen to it in the campsite! We love it.
Sometimes the puppies like to sit in the sun and sometimes they like to hang out on the porch with us, searching for blue corn tortilla chips that may be on the floor. We love these little mutts, and the feeling seems to be mutual!

I love this picture of Puja peeking through the porch rail into the sun.

THIS JUST IN: The Cardinals just took the first Cards/Cubs series two games to one, winning a long Sunday afternoon game 12-9 in 10 innings. Scott Rolen went 5 for 6 and Albert got the winning 3-run homer in the top of the 10th

GO CARDS!!!

Spring in Miwaukee

Not sure what mother nature is thinking, but we've gotten at least 3 inches of snow and when I was outside, it was thundering!! Scary!

A good day for us to hang out in the house and listen to the Cardinals sweep the Pirates on our new XM radio.

Angels @ Indians in Milwaukee

HUH? Welcome to spring in the midwest! The Cleveland Indians had their first home series SNOWED out, so instead of losing more games to the weather, they moved the games to Milwaukee. What a crazy game! We got our tickets, $10 for any seat in the house, so we were sitting right behind the Indian's dugout in the 15th row. They were great seats. It was funky to see something (and we're not sure what it is) other than Bernie Brewer up in the dugout, but Bernie was a good host, the Indian's mascot even got to go down the slide when the Indian's hit a home run! It was pretty funny to watch.

The only Brewer's touch, is that they DID do the "World Famous Sausage Race" I'm not sure if the Indians and Angels fans in atttendance knew quite what to think of it!

In the end, the HOME team won - it was a very exciting end of the game too, the final out was the tie-ing Angel runner caught stealing second. Ironically, the Brewers, playing in Florida, spent much of their game in a rain delay and the game was finally suspended in the 9th. The Indians and Angels will play two more games in Miller. Then who knows who might be next! The Brewers are going to St. Louis, so maybe one of the Chicago teams will come in, they too are postponed today due to snow!

It's that season again! ... Almost!

It's baseball season again! And we're thrilled to have it back. Even though the Cardinals had a little bit of a slow start, we're still just thrilled to have baseball back. We went to our first live baseball game Saturday before Easter, it was COLD, air temp when we hit the park was about 27 degrees. But it didn't stop us from firing up the grill, cracking open a couple beers and having a tail gate. Note the white specks in the first picture, yes ladies and gentlemen, that's snow at our first tailgate!

The sausage pattys were good, Pete made a mess with the chirizo. Jeff made this GREAT Buffalo chicken dip, it was really tasty and added a little heat on the inside at least!

As it was Easter weekend, even the Easter bunny made an appearance. Of course the rabbit is a Brewer Fan! We had an OK time at the game, the Brewers lost to the dreaded Cubs and of course we had to deal with the even worse 'cub fans'. Nothing like showing up in the 6th inning and then only staying in their seats BETWEEN innings. Jerks.

Pete calls this picture 'Sisicles' ... cute. It's certainly how we felt! I'm a baseball fan, but notice, between the cold and the fact that it was 10:00 in the morning, I'm still nursing my coffee!

This year the Brewers have a new sausage, The Chorizo, a mexican sausage. He was added permanently this year after a one-game "time trial" run last season on Cerveceros Day. It's pretty funny. Only in Milwaukee can fans cheer almost more for the running of meat as they do for their Brewers!

I had two shows, so we headed out early. But it's fun to be back in the ball park. In a couple of weeks our Cards will be in town, maybe it will be a little warmer for a tail gate! We're looking forward to seeing our boys in action again this season!
