Camp Dogs

These are the puppies on high alert. Usually they just found a shady spot in the dirt to sleep, but something attracted their attention and the sat for almost half an hour just staring into the woods. This is one of my favorite 'camp dogs' pictures!

Cave Mountain Lake

Pete and I try to go to a lovely, peaceful place called Cave Mountain Lake in Natural Bridge Virginia at least once every two to three years. It's extremely relaxing and we can camp and spend time just enjoying nature. We were able to go for about a week this year and had a great time. The puppies also enjoyed the trip - solitude and beauty.

Mojo's first camping trip

We adopted Mojo on May 18, 2006, just one day before we embarked on a 6 week vacation. This is Mojo's first camping trip to a horrible KOA in Springfield MO. We got to see a Springfield Cardinals game and the puppies got their first taste of camping together. There was lots of rolling around in the dirt and Mojo dug himself the first of many little nests he would sleep in on this trip.

Puja's First Camping trip

Since we adopted Puja (short for Pujolina - what we decided was the feminine of Pujols, as in Albert) the end of last July, she was still able to join us for a couple of camping trips. This was her first trip to Madison so that we could see a Mallards game!

Koenig Family

Pete and Kathi Koenig live in Milwaukee with their dogs Puja and Mojo. We both work in theater and love camping and baseball.

Though we are rabid Cardinals fans, we also see as much minor league baseball as we can and try to add at least one new major league park to our belt every year.
